TrashMash! Litter Posse
Making Donations
Welcome to the TrashMash donation page. We love accepting gifts of trash bags (in particular, 13-gallon “kitchen” drawstring bags) and thin rubber gloves.
Right now, trash bags are our #1 expense and priority. Eventually, however, you will see some conceptual ideas for which we'll be seeking cash donations. These items, such as our “Can You Dig It,” wooden hand tool for burying human waste and the accompanying “No Piles Left Behind” laminated education card, will require time, labor and funding to bring them to life. TrashMash is not set up as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Rather, we are in the process of becoming America’s greatest All-4-1, See-Thru organization––citizens openly uniting to make their world a better, cleaner, safer place to live. To this end, I publish the details of our TrashMash "bank account" right here on the website, and donors may choose to be named or not. It's my way of being transparent with all money that has come across my hands. Though individual cash donations are probably not deductible from federal income taxes, if you are a legitimate business in Washington State and advertise your business connection through our TrashMash newsletter, it is a legitimate form of advertising, and most likely deductible as a business expense. As of 3/2/22 our bank balance is $99.00.

Litter Pick-Up Days
Here’s a chance to join like-minded others, get some good exercise, and help clean up our forest trails and scenic treasures.
TrashMash! Litter Posse Days are an invitation to the public to join in walking forays to some of Mason County’s most beautiful locations. Armed with gloves, bags and good intentions, we will collect litter from area trails, camp sites, and scenic destinations. For only one day's volunteer duty in a Litter Posse, you’ll benefit in two key ways: Litter pickup forays will introduce you to new waterfalls and other scenic points of interest; plus you’ll also meet new potential friends and learn how to better explore Olympic National Forest and related public lands. A third important benefit: You'll get an incredible feeling of accomplishment knowing you've made a difference to improve the beauty of our local treasures and the Northwest Rain Forest. Simply click to sign up, left, or below. |
WELCOME TO A CITIZEN-POWERED EVENT!
We are a true citizen posse, comprised of beauty-loving folks who simply can't sit by and watch others trash our forests, lakes, and places of splendor. We will work with National Park, National Forest and other agencies or authorities, but we remain independent citizen volunteers, a true Litter Posse. YOUR IDEAS AND INPUT ARE VALUABLE If you have suggestions or solutions on how to better educate our littering brothers and sisters, or ways to more effectively pick up or prevent further trash . . . please share during our lunch break, or after the next Pick-Up Day is done. Or, you can always write or call. |
